Eighty letters relates to real letters written by Helena Kadrnková to her husband in exile at the end of 80’s. Detailed descriptions of dealing with authorities, of behavior of people in her surroundings, about raising their son and also minor observations from everyday life create the base of an autobiographical film by Václav Kadrnka.
Film, audio-installation and a debate, which will take place in tranzitdisplay, the harbour of contemporary art, will raise issues about impact of a dying and therefore unpredictable regime on individual people’s destinies but it will also discuss broader topics referring to recent past or to emigration as a Central European etnographic phenomenon.

An intimate audio-installation comprises of eighty autenthic letters read for exhibition purposes.
