Hi Marketa,

When you asked me to prepare a lecture for tranzit on the most interesting thing I saw in New York, I immediately thought of something: The Creative Time Summit - for the sole reason that the whole time I was there I didn’t see any exhibition worth it except for this sophisticated version of Pecha Kucha.

It’s a two-day marathon of several dozen lectures that is repeated every year. Last year was the second year and was geared toward Social Engagement art. In contrast to Pecha Kucha, it has a very compact form with a precise focus; it was pretty remarkable how the organizers managed to achieve it.

And it's about that very subject that I’d like to speak – about the whole concept of this action and about how it was structured and why.
I’ll tell you more about it at the lecture itself.

Best regards,

Jirka Skála
