From Perestroika to the Dialectics of Sublime - A debate with artists Dmitry Vilensky and Olga Egorova (Tsaplya), members of the formation Chto delat? (What is to be done).

A part of the debate will be a presentation and a talk about recent activities of the formation Chto delat? (A Learning Play. The Dialectics of Sublime. (Arbeitstitel). Kampnagel Hamburg, 2013, participation in Bergen Assembly, 2013, etc.). In addition, the two artists will share their views on politics of collective work, updating of left-wing theory and artistic working methods in post-communist conditions.

Chto delat? is a formation of artists, critics, philosophers and authors founded in 2003 in St. Petersburg aiming to connect political theory, art and activism. Their activities include artists' projects, seminars, public campaigns in the form of videos, theater plays, radio programs, posters, wall paintings. From the moment of its foundation the formation publishes Russian-English newspaper Chto delat?.
